Something about me?

Picture
My name is Eric Elliott and all things fitness and nutrition is my life now.

Simply put, I can’t imagine doing anything else with my life than what I’m doing right now.

But I wasn’t always this way. Just over two years ago I was a recently graduated journalist, working to develop my fitness on my own and get the physique I’ve always wanted. Trouble is, I knew nothing.

The little I did know—society’s move more eat less—mantra to weight loss actually had a destructive impact on my life. In the time of the ketogenic diet, I was terrified of consuming a carbohydrate, weighed 213 pounds and couldn’t get the scale to budge. Eating 1,500 calories per day, I had damaged my metabolism to the near point of starvation.

It took getting help from experts in the industry, studying in the dark hours of the night and eventually attending Jason Phillips’ Nutritional Coaching Institute to realize I wanted a career in this myself.
Specifically, I wanted to refocus people’s thoughts and relationships on food the way I had over two years of experimenting and learning.

Originally I went into the journalism industry with the dream of helping people. Spending more than a year in it however, working at a weekly then a daily newspaper, I learned I wasn’t helping people as much as I was an active participant in the content wheel of meaningless words that produced interest but very little change in society itself.

This is why I have taken on the role of a nutrition coach. I want help people eat the foods they want, have the relationships they want and look the way they want.

This is a refocus of your lifestyle to look, feel and act more in power over your life. It will take some work but if someone like me can do it, I know you can too.
